Senior Director Finance

B.Riley Farber is partnering with Select Food Products (Select) (www.selectfoodproducts.com) in their search for a new Senior Director Finance. Established in 1941, Select is a Canadian success story and recognized across the food industry. Reporting directly to the President, the Senior Director Finance will hold a critical position within the Enterprise Leadership Team. Through a team of dedicated managers, the Senior Director will oversee financial reporting, FP&A, cash flow management, and risk management as well as IT and Purchasing. They will play a pivotal role in driving organizational growth and optimizing operational efficiency across multiple functions.

The Senior Director Finance will be actively involved coaching and mentoring the teams beneath them. As the business grows, there will be opportunity for team members to progress which they must be ready for. Further opportunity awaits Select as they look to reach their production capacity in Canada while exploring M&A and further international expansion opportunities for continued growth.  

To be considered for you the role you will have:
  • A university degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Experience developing a high-performance team with an innate drive to coach and mentor.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or a CPG production environment.
  • Experience leading diverse functions such as IT and Purchasing is considered an asset, however, is not required.
  • The ability to communicate, influence, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic business and financial recommendations.
  • The ability to work with autonomy and collaboratively and understand that there is no job too small.
  • An all hands-on deck mentality when the business requires it.
