ABI LTD (“ABI”) is a global designer, manufacturer, and integrator of automated industrial baking equipment. Still the world’s largest manufacturer of bagel make-up equipment, ABI has invested heavily in R&D over the past decade to become one of the global leaders in robotics applications in the baking process.
Over the last two and a half decades, ABI machines have produced more than 50 million tons of baked goods. Growing domestic markets and several new product line introductions have poised the company for substantial growth in the medium term and the company seeks additional management talent and leadership to help develop and execute its growth strategy.
As the President/COO you will report to the CEO and develop the strategy for growth including determining optimal product range, assessing and optimizing current production practices, building sources of recurring revenue, pursuing acquisitions and strategic partnerships. You will be instrumental in developing, improving and optimizing standardized processes and systems to meet the needs of customers and create a scalable operation. Establish a culture of high performance, accountability and efficiencies through the development of KPI’s, tracking and reporting on these; fostering a collaborative and cohesive culture across all functions. In addition to leading the manufacturing function, you will assume P&L responsibility, oversee legal and HR functions and deepen external relationships in a highly innovative and customer-centric organization. As an executive leader, you will lead from the front, rolling up your sleeves as well as providing a strategic roadmap for growth, innovation and customer satisfaction.
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
  • Undergrad degree in Engineering, MBA highly advantageous
  • Proven and progressive experience within the manufacturing sector, coupled with 5+ years as a President or COO with solid financial management and business acumen
  • Experience scaling a mid-sized organization, ideally from a privately held family-run business
  • Experience designing, implementing and tracking KPI’s, inspiring a motivated and accountable team to meet corporate goals
  • Exceptional communication skills, highly organized, inclusive management style, challenges the status-quo to transform and grow the business
  • Customer focused, innovative, supportive of new technologies and the highest quality standards
