Our client is an exciting, growing channel and fulfillment agency who is looking to hire a Business Development Manager into their expanding sales team who is a true hunter that thrives on closing the deal but can also act as a subject matter expert.  You will be required to balance not only the ensuring satisfaction and ongoing development of our clients’ current customers but also securing new business opportunities by leveraging your industry contacts and relationships. 
Based in Mississauga, you will work closely with the CEO and drive revenue within e-commerce, fulfillment and warehousing space by securing new business opportunities by managing and executing all steps of the sales process from target to close.  You will play an integral role in managing all aspects of the business relationship including presenting proposals, negotiating agreements, upsell relevant and incremental services and marketing opportunities, overseeing daily operations, and providing business solutions. You will provide insights, analytics and develop business recommendations for specific customer accounts, taking into consideration strategies and the customer’s business objectives and challenges.  Through coordination with internal teams and working with the customer, you will drive growth for both the customers and our client.  You will assist in setting corporate strategy around revenue growth and evaluating the potential of new services as well as setting annual growth targets and creating and maintaining a sales forecast. 
With an aggressive expansion plan, this newly created Business Development Manager role is critical for the company’s success. 
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
  • Experience in sales, business development and effectively managing major key accounts
  • Experience within the CPG sector
  • Ideally have worked in the Marketing or Ecommerce Fulfillment space
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business ideal
  • Known as a thought leader who provides customised recommendations to drive customer success and increase revenues and profitability
  • Experience in a fast-paced and innovative environment and be able to work multiple priorities and complete complex projects whilst providing high attention to detail
  • Being a skilled negotiator, motivated leader and maintaining excellent business relationships is key for this role
  • Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams to achieve business results
  • Strong analytical, planning and presentation skills
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. 
  • Positive, energetic and comfortable in an open, dynamic and collaborative company culture. 
  • Must be willing to travel
