In line with the growth, our client is actively seeking a CFO to assume a pivotal role in sculpting the financial trajectory of the company. Collaborating closely with the ownership team, the ideal candidate will bring a distinctive amalgamation of financial acumen, strategic foresight, and an in-depth comprehension of custom manufacturing intricacies. Including an adeptness in job costing, and a sincere and humble approach to organizational collaboration. As a seasoned and dynamic CFO poised to integrate into the leadership team, you will hold a pivotal position in charting the financial strategy of the organization. Your role will be instrumental in upholding fiscal responsibility, and your contributions will be integral to the overarching success of the company.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process and provide accurate financial forecasts. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgetary expectations
  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies. Provide insights and recommendations to mitigate financial exposures.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow effectively to support the company's operations and growth initiatives.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. Stay abreast of changes in financial laws and regulations affecting the industry.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with operational objectives. Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with external partners, financial institutions, and stakeholders to optimize financial opportunities and strengthen business relationships.

What you bring to the table:
  • Humble Leadership: Possess a humble and approachable leadership style, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The ability to listen, learn, and engage with team members at all levels is essential.
  • Custom Manufacturing Experience: Demonstrate a solid understanding of custom manufacturing processes, preferably within the home/building solutions industry. Experience in navigating the intricacies of bespoke manufacturing and delivering financial strategies that align with the unique challenges of custom production is highly valued.
  • Private or Family Business Background: Previous experience working in a private or family-owned business is crucial. Familiarity with the dynamics, priorities, and challenges inherent in such organizations is essential to integrate seamlessly into our family-run company culture.
  • Job Costing Expertise: Possess a comprehensive understanding of job costing methodologies. Ability to implement and refine job costing systems to ensure accurate and detailed financial analysis for each project.
  • Inventory Management: Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, optimizing stock levels while minimizing carrying costs. Experience in developing and implementing effective inventory control strategies tailored to the nuances of custom manufacturing.

The skills and qualifications you have for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the industrial manufacturing, custom-home furnishing, construction, or building industries are preferred
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of successful financial strategy development and implementation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a focus on team development and collaboration.
