About Our Client


A market leader in their space, our client’s operations fall within the B2B multisite business services category. Having just navigated a period of change, and with market leading capital backers in place, they have positioned themselves for a period of innovation, transformation, and growth.

Our client’s business is built on data analysis and process optimization. Their business operations include a hardware and software element working in tandem to ensure peak performance. They serve some of the largest, household name organizations in Canada. Currently a small to midsize business, with a model allowing for organic and opportunistic M&A, the stage is set for a new CEO to align themselves with the vision of the new ownership group.

This is a hands-on role, whereby the new CEO will have to develop an enhanced working knowledge of the industry, the company operations, and the levers at their disposal to ensure the continued growth.

As the link between the Private Equity ownership group, and the internal leadership team, the CEO must be able to straddle both worlds, setting clear and deliberate strategy, while leading a team of industry seasoned directors and managers.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Direct and oversee all company operations, including information technology, sales & marketing, customer service, service & repairs, finance, and human resources.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key partners and vendors.
  • Leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Develop the company algorithmic models and data analytics functionality.
  • Optimize the company's P&L, with a focus on revenue and EBITDA growth.
  • Develop and enhance the company's culture, creating a collaborative and engaging work environment leading to a “back to office” mentality
  • Work closely with the Private Equity ownership group to support innovation and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Develop and implement effective go-to-market and customer engagement strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team, driving performance and professional development.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have:
  • Essential – proven leadership experience as a CEO or President, preferably in a small to midsized company. ( $50-$500 million in sales revenue)
  • Essential - excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a focus on team building and culture development. Experienced in leading teams and companies through change.
  • Essential – a proven leader who has scaled business services companies with an understanding of long-term contract development and negotiation.
  • Essential - enhanced understanding of data analysis ideally gained in a asset (engineers and maintenance) environment  
  • Essential - financial savvy and experience managing a P&L.
  • Essential - excellent customer-facing skills and experience creating processes and procedures to streamline and drive excellence around client success.
  • Has led a Private Equity backed company.
  • A strategic thinker with a track record of operational excellence.
  • High EQ and care for people.

  • This is an on-site role at the company’s head office in Toronto.
