Positioned for a new phase of growth and with the support and backing of private equity, the company is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy and propel its expansion plans forward.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and optimizing capital allocation to maximize shareholder value. Collaborating closely with the CEO, executive team, and PE group, they will evaluate potential M&A targets, conduct due diligence, and negotiate transactions to fulfill strategic objectives. Additionally, the CFO will provide leadership to the finance team, nurturing a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

The CFO will take a leadership role in creating solid financial reports, performance indicators and variance analysis to support best-in-class financial and operational efficiencies and effectiveness. Develop from the ground up a sophisticated financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting function and related processes to provide key data for decision making and ensure alignment with business goals.

This is an operational CFO role, actively engaged in the operations and sales of the organization as a strategic business partner to the senior leadership team. As the business plans to scale and double in size, the finance leader will provide foresight to infrastructure and operational needs to support that growth. In order to be considered for the role, you will possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or related field; CPA designation required, MBA an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, developing strong teams and working cross-functionally with an operational mindset.
  • Proven track record of success in executing M&A transactions and integrating acquired businesses to drive growth and value creation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cash management and treasury, fixed asset management, risk management, and enhancing profitability within a growth-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Solid experience integrating and upgrading systems, improving and digitizing workflows creating efficiencies in order to scale.
  • Experience from B2B services industries, ideally with a fixed assets and logistics angle is ideal.
  • Proficient in building high-performance teams through effective hiring, mentoring, and development strategies.
  • Understands business operations intricately, engaging at a hands-on level, and recognized for adding value beyond functional expertise by collaborating closely with management teams on strategic and operational matters.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical conduct.
