VP Operations

They are seeking a pragmatic, execution-focused VP Operations to lead a multi-brand QSR portfolio nationally, a leader who thrives in the field, brings structure and discipline to complex operations, and drives results through people, process, and performance while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Reporting to the General Manager, the VP of Operations is a key member of the leadership team responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing profitability, elevating customer experience, and leading large-scale brand initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a bold operational leader ready to make their mark with a runway towards the Chief Operating Officer position longer term.

Key responsibilities:
Operational and Strategic Leadership: Lead and standardize operational excellence across all restaurant locations, building consistency and scalability across 4 brands. Embed systems and processes that enhance performance and create a culture of accountability. Ensure alignment of operational goals with business objectives.

P&L Ownership and Financial Management: Own and optimize the full P&L across brands. Analyze financial performance, drive profitability, and lead initiatives that improve margins without compromising guest experience. Partner closely with finance to ensure alignment on KPIs, budgets, and cost control measures.

Multi-Brand, Multi-Region Execution: Guide a team of 4 Brand Leaders (across multiple QSR’s) to deliver on operational targets, new store openings, and brand-specific initiatives. Roll out best practices across regions to drive revenue and streamline operations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison both internally and externally with key stakeholders. Lead execution of brand mandates keeping relevant parties apprised of progress.

Team Leadership and Culture Building: Champion a high-performance, people-first culture. Lead with empathy, energy, and clarity to engage employees across the country. Build talent pipelines, coach and mentor enabling career and retention opportunities.

Strategic Growth & Customer Experience Innovation: Contribute to the company’s long-term growth strategy through data-driven insights and operational innovation. Collaborate cross-functionally to elevate customer experience, introduce new technologies, and explore new market opportunities.

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is an asset.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in restaurant or retail operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
  • Proven P&L management experience leading profitable businesses, capabilities including budget preparation.
  • Deep understanding of the restaurant industry, preferably across multi-brand or franchise operated businesses.
  • Exceptional people leadership, an inspiring and influencing style, ensuring accountability and results; an ability to work with a disparate management team across multiple regions.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen from a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a demonstrated impact on talent strategy, technology transformation and customer experience.
  • Effective communicator and influencer with strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Holds high personal standards and consistently drives operational excellence.
  • Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with a willingness to travel extensively across Canada.
