ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks answers both these demands with one innovative solution. First introduced into North America in 2013, the hot stamped welded blank market is growing at a rapid pace.

Based in Concord Ontario, ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks is hiring a Corporate Controller, reporting directly to the CFO. With operations across North America and Mexico, this is a new role at corporate providing solid financial reporting and controls as well as ongoing continuous improvements to finance processes. The focus of the role will be to report accurate information relating to operational performance, including analysis, budgeting, forecasting and preparing financial reports. Manage and lead improvements in key financial business processes, including internal controls and ERP changes as required. Provide leadership to the regional finance teams through employee development and execution of the financial and strategic business plan. This role will have a significant impact on the establishment of and future direction of accounting principles, practices, procedures and risk management.

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
  • CPA designation required, undergrad degree in Commerce, Business Administration or similar
  • 10+ years progressive experience, technical accounting expertise coupled with people management as well as cross-functional leadership
  • Solid current financial reporting expertise (IFRS) and implementation and maintenance of internal controls
  • Ability to work with Plant Controllers, Plant Managers and Corporate business unit leaders
  • Experience from manufacturing industry required, solid understanding of cost accounting
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, effective prioritizing and time management skills
  • Pro-active and continuous learner for both self and the team
