Director of Facilities & Retail Operations

If you have led retail projects, driven effectiveness and compliance, identified and recommended opportunities, and implemented solutions in conjunction with key business partners and stakeholders, then this role will excite you.

As the Director of Facilities & Retail Operations, you will lead and develop the Head Office, Warehouse and Facilities Operations team; evaluate, recommend and implement operational best practices; be responsible for the opening of new stores, renovating existing stores and other locations (Warehouses, offices, etc). You will manage costs and third-party vendors within required budgets and timelines.

In the role, you will have direct responsibility for store expansion into Global Markets; source and manage local after sales service providers; be the key driver of sustainable development initiatives; develop strategies to communicate and monitor performance; own and drive and support for store back-office processes.

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following: 
  • A Post-Secondary Degree is a requirement
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a Senior Retail Operation role is required, along with a strong understanding of retail sales, facilities build-outs and required maintenance
  • Strategic and operational mindset with strong analytical, influencing, supplier performance management, negotiations, and contracting skills; along with the ability to build/foster strong relationship via partnering across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills (written and verbal); strong attention to detail and a problem-solving focus with a keen big picture understanding
  • Significant experience in project management, with the ability to handle multiple projects & deadlines;
  • Team oriented, flexible with a “roll up your sleeves”, “can-do” attitude; open-minded approach with agility to change
  • Humble, hands on leader who is entrepreneurial and self-motivated
  • Expected travel of approximately 30%
