Our client is a start-up Technology organisation who will be selling their product both within Canada and to International markets. With an aggressive expansion plan, this newly created VP Marketing role is critical for the company’s success.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be a member of the executive team and be responsible for end-to-end ownership of the marketing function- development and implementation of company-wide marketing tactics, policies and programs to support business objectives and operations.
 
You will be responsible for the execution of a B2B marketing strategy that aligns with corporate goals and objectives. This would include managing all aspects of marketing; establishing brand guidelines, multi-channel product marketing, new product launches, digital and traditional medias, market research activities, agency management, corporate communications and a performance measurement system to evaluate success. Overseeing market intelligence along with marketing trends, sales technologies, product development to identify trends and new opportunities for diversity and market growth to develop a competitive benchmark, is key to success in this role.
 
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
 
  • 8+ years Marketing Leadership experience leading multiple marketing functions including strategic marketing, product marketing, brand development and awareness, industry and customer segmentation, demand generation programs, and partner enablement programs
  • A Marketing Degree or an MBA would highly valued
  • Conversant in multiple marketing and sales channels; knowledge of SEM, display advertising, native advertising, email, sales development, product user experience
  • You’ve led B2B, SAAS product and service marketing strategies in scaling technology start-up / growth companies
  • Customer obsessed; creative; disruptive and inspirational
  • Strong understanding of Integrated Data and Information Management organizations and markets: Data Protection, Archive, Storage, Cloud, Compliance and Virtualization segments of the market.
  • Exposure in enterprise Big Data Management
