Director e-Commerce

Are you a world class e-Commerce leader who is passionate about luxury goods and has a deep understanding of how to manage an e-Store team in a growing business?   Are you looking for a role where you can be entrepreneurial and transform a business?  Do you enjoy a leadership role, developing and leading an e-Commerce function as well as positioning a company as an Omni e-Commerce Channel leader?  If so please read on.
 
Our client is a well-established luxury goods, global retailer with a strong presence in Canada undergoing significant growth.  They are expanding and upgrading their e-Commerce strategy and initiatives and are searching for an experienced e-Commerce professional to lead the charge.  The platform has been created, the focus of this role is to establish operational excellence, increase revenues and drive customer acquisition and retention through Omni e-Commerce channels. 
 
As the e-Commerce leader, you will make strategic business decisions to identify opportunities for e-Commerce sales, streamlining processes as well as looking at innovative ways of using digital and mobile technological solutions to support online and offline selling to raise the visibility in the global e-Commerce business.  You will manage a small e-Store team which oversees product sales, customer experience, customer service, operations, inventory, transactions, site performance, demand generation, product selection and content updates.  You will develop KPI’s and dashboards for the e-Store to analyse customer online behavior, successes and growth opportunities.  This role reports directly to the President but works hand-in-hand with the Marketing and Communications group for best practices to acquire more traffic to the e-Store and to enhance conversion rates.  In addition, building global relationships particularly to roll out key projects is key for e-Commerce across the globe.  

In order to be considered for this role, you will be possessing the following:
 
  • Experience in leading a team and having operational oversight of an e-Commerce platform, ideally from a retail business
  • Solid operations, project management, fulfillment and digital business development skill sets required
  • Experienced with omni-channel marketing
  • Excellent business acumen to support President and other leaders cross-functionally
  • Management of a teams, developing and coaching, success in promoting and retaining key staff, including customer service
  • Ability to interact at all levels, strong relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage timelines, budget and project resources
  • Possess creative, “out of the box” thinker, driver and enabler competencies
 
This is a hands-on role for an energetic, career oriented individual.  Some travel across Canada and to Europe is required in this position as well as working weekends and holidays.
