Our client is a global leader in the media industry. Given their success and being a publicly listed content and distribution company with operations in Canada, the U.S., U.K. and Australia, they have created a new role for an Associate Director, Corporate Financial Reporting
which reports to the SVP Group Finance.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the global finance team and will be accountable for all aspects of the Company’s external financial reporting. In addition, this role will have responsibility for technical accounting policy implementation related to the adoption of new accounting standards and complex accounting matters. As a key member of the Finance team, the successful candidate will play an integral role in working with their production companies to pull together reporting for external reporting purposes. This is a highly visible role working in the Global Corporate head office of a fast-growing organization.
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
- CPA designation required along with an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
- 5+ years of relevant reporting / audit experience with a Professional Services firm or equivalent experience working in a finance team with a Global, Public Company.
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with a self-starter and can-do attitude, capable of working in a team and independently.
- Critical thinker, sense of urgency, relationship builder and deadline driven competencies.
